Little Tim was in the garden, filling in a hole when his neighbor peered over the fence.

Interested in what the cheeky-faced youngster was up to, he politely asked, “What are you up to, Tim?”

Tim looked up, wiped the dirt from his hands, and grinned. “I’m burying my goldfish, Mr. Jenkins.”

The neighbor raised an eyebrow. “Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear that. How long did you have him?”

Tim shrugged. “Oh, not long. Just about 24 hours.”

The neighbor blinked in confusion. “24 hours? Well, that’s certainly quick! Why did you bury him so soon?”

Tim stood up, dusted off his knees, and smiled. “Well, that’s how long he lasted after I gave him the new tank… and then the new shark!”

The neighbor gasped. “A shark?! You gave a goldfish a shark for company?”

Tim nodded proudly. “Yep! But don’t worry, I gave the shark a name too.”

Mr. Jenkins was speechless. “A name? What did you name the shark?”

Tim grinned even wider. “Goldfish!”
