Husband and wife are lying in bed in the middle of the night.

Husband: "I won’t be able to sleep afterwards."

Wife: "I can’t sleep without it."

Husband: Sighs "Why do you think of things like this at night? Can’t we do this in the morning?"

Wife: "Morning? You know that’s impossible! I need it now."

The husband rolls over, staring at the ceiling. "This is ridiculous. You’re obsessed with this!"

The wife turns toward him, pouting. "Please? Just this once. I need it."

The husband groans, sits up, and mutters, "Fine. But just this one time. And you better not wake me up again for it tomorrow night!"

He turns on the bedside lamp, rubs his eyes, and reluctantly gets out of bed.

The wife eagerly watches as he walks over to her side of the bed, reaches for her pillow, fluffs it up properly, and hands it back to her.

She snuggles into it with a satisfied sigh. "Ahhh, perfect. Now I can sleep."

The husband stares at her for a moment, then mutters, "Unbelievable. I got out of bed… for a pillow."

As he crawls back under the covers, she whispers, "I love you."

He sighs. "Yeah, yeah. But next time, the pillow is on your side of the bed, and you’re getting up for it!"

Moral of the story: Marriage is just a series of small sacrifices, mostly made at 2 AM.
