A lawyer meets with the family of a recently deceased millionaire for the reading of the will.

“To my loving wife, Rose, who always stood by me, I leave the house and $8 million,” the lawyer reads aloud.

Rose wipes a tear and nods. "Oh, Harold, you were always so generous."

The lawyer continues, “To my devoted son, Michael, who never failed to make me proud, I leave my business and $5 million.”

Michael sits up straight, beaming. "Thanks, Dad! I won’t let you down."

The lawyer turns the page. “And to my beloved brother, Charlie, who always insisted that ‘health is more important than wealth’... I leave my treadmill and a box of organic granola bars.”

Charlie’s jaw drops. “WHAT?! Are you serious?”

The lawyer shrugs. “That’s what it says.”

Charlie mutters, “I should’ve told him money was more important than health.”

The lawyer clears his throat and continues, “And finally, to my cousin Bob, who always said, ‘A penny saved is a penny earned’... I leave him just that—one penny. Now he’s earned it.”

Bob stares at the single penny the lawyer slides across the table. “Unbelievable…”

The lawyer finishes, “And to my nosy neighbor, Mrs. Jenkins, who always asked me what was in my will… Well, now you know.”
