The farmer was standing by a big oak tree, holding a pig in his arms. Every few seconds, he lifted the pig up to an apple tree, letting the pig take a bite from an apple. Then he lowered it, moved to another apple, and repeated the process.

The city man watched in disbelief for a few minutes before finally walking up to the farmer.

City man: "Uh… sir? I couldn’t help but notice… but wouldn’t it save a whole lot of time if you just shook the apples down so the pigs could eat them off the ground?"

The farmer looked at him like he had just suggested something ridiculous. He chewed his tobacco thoughtfully, then spit and said, "Well, sure… but what’s time to a pig?"
