At school, Little Johnny's classmate tells him that most adults are hiding at least one dark secret, so it's very easy to blackmail them by saying, "I know the whole truth."
Little Johnny, ever the curious troublemaker, decides to give it a try when he gets home.
He walks into the kitchen, looks straight at his mother, and says,
"I know the whole truth."
His mother gasps, turns pale, drops the spoon she’s holding, and whispers,
"Please don’t tell your father! I’ll buy you that bike you wanted."
Johnny blinks. Well that worked better than expected. He pockets the deal and runs off to find his father.
"Dad," he says boldly, "I know the whole truth."
His father stares at him for a moment, then mutters,
"Son… keep this between us. I’ll give you $100 right now."
Johnny nods and walks away, pocket full and eyes wide with the power he now wields.
Later, feeling like he’s on a roll, he sees the mailman walking up the driveway. Johnny runs out and greets him at the door with a confident smirk.
"I know the whole truth!" he says.
The mailman freezes, throws his bag in the bushes, and shouts,
"Kid, how long have you known?! Who told you?! Is it about me and your—"
Before he can finish, Johnny bolts back inside, yelling,
"MOOOOOM! I think I broke the mailman!"
