Did you hear about the teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten students put on his boots?

He asked for help, and she could see why. With her pulling and him pushing, the boots still didn’t want to go on. By the time the second boot was finally on, she had worked up quite a sweat.

Then the little boy looked down and said, “Teacher, they're on the wrong feet.”

She groaned but managed to keep her cool as she struggled to pull the tight boots off. Sure enough, they were on the wrong feet.

She huffed and puffed and managed to wrestle the boots back on the right feet.

Then the boy said, “These aren’t my boots.”

The teacher bit her tongue to keep from screaming. She yanked the boots off again, barely holding back her frustration.

Once the boots were off, the boy smiled and said, “They’re my brother’s. My mom made me wear them.”

The teacher closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and forced a smile. She once again fought to get the boots back on his feet.

After what felt like an eternity, she finally got them back on and stood up triumphantly. “There! All done!”

Then the boy said, “Oh! I forgot... where are my mittens?”

The teacher sighed. “I don’t know, where did you leave them?”

The boy grinned. “In my boots.”
