A young man was getting ready to graduate college.

For many months, he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom.

Knowing his father could well afford it, he told him, “Dad, that’s the only thing I want for graduation.”

Graduation day came.

The father called his son into his study, smiling warmly.

He handed him a beautifully wrapped gift box.

The son, excited but confused, opened the box… and inside was a brand-new leather-bound Bible.

His smile disappeared.

“A… Bible?” he asked, his voice filled with disappointment.

“Yes, son,” the father said proudly. “This is the most valuable gift I could ever give you.”

The young man felt a wave of anger.

He had dreamed of that sports car for months, and instead, his father had given him a book?

Furious, he stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible behind.

He never spoke to his father again.

Years passed.

The young man became successful in his own right, had a beautiful family, and lived in a big house.

One day, he got a call.

His father had passed away.

With a heavy heart, he returned to his childhood home to handle his father’s affairs.

As he was going through his father’s belongings, he noticed the Bible, still in its original box, untouched.

Feeling guilty, he picked it up and opened it for the first time.

And out fell a car key.

Attached was a small tag with the dealer’s name—the same dealership with the sports car he had wanted.

On the tag, it read:

“Paid in full.”

The young man froze.

For a moment, he just stared at the key in shock.

Then, he slowly looked up at the sky and whispered, "Well, that’s a plot twist."
