A man was dining alone in a fancy restaurant, and there was a gorgeous redhead sitting at the next table. He had been checking her out since he sat down but lacked the nerve to talk to her.

Suddenly, as he took a sip of his wine, he heard a soft whisper:

"Go talk to her!"

Startled, he looked around. Nobody was there except for a waiter passing by. He shrugged it off as his imagination and continued eating.

A few minutes later, he heard it again, this time a little louder:

"She’s looking at you! Make your move!"

Now he was really confused. He glanced around and saw the redhead smiling at her phone. Was she texting someone about him? His heart raced.

Then, it happened again—this time, the voice was loud and clear:

"Buy her a drink! Be a gentleman!"

The man jumped in his seat and looked down at his plate. That’s when he realized…

It was his steak.

Completely baffled, he poked at the meat with his fork and whispered, "Are you talking to me?"

"Yes!" the steak replied. "I may be rare, but so is an opportunity like this!"

At this point, the man was questioning his sanity. But just as he was about to stand up and leave, his baked potato chimed in:

"Don’t just sit there! You look like a total spud!"

Panicked, he flagged down the waiter and said, "Listen, I don’t know what’s going on, but my steak is talking to me!"

The waiter sighed, looked at the man’s plate, and said, "Sir, I apologize. Your entrée comes from a highly motivational farm."

The redhead, having overheard the commotion, burst into laughter. She leaned over and said, "I think you’ve got the most inspiring dinner in town."

The man took a deep breath, grinned, and finally said, "Well, my steak told me to buy you a drink. I think I should listen."

And just like that, dinner turned into a date.
