A thriving baseball club is one of the features of a boy's organization connected with a prominent church. The team was recently challenged by a rival club. The pastor gave a special contribution of $500 to support the team.

The players were pumped, their spirits soaring higher than ever! The big day arrived, and the match was on. But as the game progressed, it became clear that the other team had one heck of a pitcher—so much so that it seemed like the ball was practically coming from the heavens.

The pastor, sitting in the stands, got more and more nervous. Just before the final inning, the pitcher from the rival team threw an insane curveball, and our batter swung... and missed. The crowd gasped. The pitcher smirked, looking confident.

That's when the pastor jumped up from his seat, shouting, "Don’t worry, son! You’ve got the power of prayer on your side!"

The batter paused, looked at the pastor, and said, “Pastor, I think I need a little more than prayer for this one. Maybe a miracle, a donut, and a fastball directly from God?”

The crowd burst into laughter. The pastor quickly reached into his coat pocket, pulled out another $50, and yelled, "Alright, let’s pray and hope this next pitch comes with divine intervention!"

The batter stepped up, prayed loudly, and as the pitcher threw that curveball—BAM!—the batter hit it so hard it went straight into the parking lot, knocking over the rival team's snack stand.

The crowd went wild. The rival team’s coach just shook his head and muttered, “Well, I guess that’s what happens when you play against a church team... they’ve got an unfair advantage.”

And from that day on, the boys on the team believed it wasn’t just their baseball skills that made them winners—it was the power of a good contribution and maybe a little divine guidance!
